Bernardo Hills is a residential community in the heart of Rancho Bernardo. Originally developed beginning in the late 1960’s, it begins at the northeast corner of Rancho Bernardo and Pomerado Roads. This community sits between Gatewood Hills to the north, Seven Oaks to the west, and Summerfield (a North Poway community) to the east. This is one of the first communities built in Rancho Bernardo that was not age restricted.
Bernardo Hills
Bernardo Hills is at the northeast corner of Pomerado and Rancho Bernardo Roads. Its boundaries are marked by the yellow rectangle in the photograph. Albertson's shopping center is just below the yellow rectangle. A portion of the Seven Oaks Community Center can be seen at the bottom of the photo, and a portion of the RB Swim and Tennis Club can be in the lower left area of the photo. (photo taken August 2004)
